The devastating earthquakes of 1965 forever changed the life of this village. Over time, its residents abandoned it due to landslides and to settle closer to the sea, creating New Klima.
Old Klima was founded in the 18th century as an agricultural settlement. According to tradition, the cheerful and festive residents were primarily engaged in viticulture, resin production, and livestock farming. Today, the village retains the charm of the past with its old stone houses adorned with bougainvilleas.
Attractions in this lush village include the Church of Saints Anargyroi, built in 1828, likely on the site of an earlier small church, and the mesmerizing view towards Skiathos and Euboea.
