Sideris Gallery

A space dedicated to the work of Alexandros Sideris, a painter from Glossa who lived and worked abroad. Three years before his death in 1978, Sideris donated 42 paintings to his beloved hometown, "the most representative of my over 50-year artistic career, so that the residents of our village and its visitors may view them," as he noted. He also donated his library, an invaluable treasure of a thousand books. To preserve, maintain, and showcase his work, a non-profit company named "Alexandros Sideris – A Great Painter of Glossa, Skopelos" was founded, which also took on the task of finding a suitable exhibition space. The Alexandros Sideris Gallery opened on October 15, 2017.
