Hiking
Decided to explore Skopelos’s countryside, leaving behind any motorized means? Excellent idea. The “green and blue” island promises unforgettable hikes. As you walk, you will enjoy nature and discover monuments, villages, chapels, and “kalyvia,” traditional two-story Skopelian farmhouses. Before setting out, don’t forget to bring all the essentials according to the season—water, hat, sunscreen in summer, maps, and optionally hiking poles, regardless of the weather.
Today, the Municipality of Skopelos, in collaboration with EOT, has created a network of 5 marked hiking trails with signposts and kiosks. These trails are:
T1 Skopelos Town – Palouki and Monasteries
T2 Palouki – Monastery of the Archangels and Monastery of Saint Anna
T3 Skopelos – Saint Constantine – Jelali Spring
T4 Old Klima – Loutraki
T5 Loutraki – Glossa
